Take Action

Start an I AM HUMAN Project campaign at your school and show your support for trans* youth.

Steps to a Successful I AM HUMAN Project Campaign

Step 1: Round up some students who would be interested in participating in the I AM HUMAN Project. If you have a GSA, ask to include them in the project.

Step 2: Read more about transgender student rights in your state. If you are a NYS resident, you should check out NYSED's guide for Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming students.

Step 3: Print I AM HUMAN stickers and plan a Day of Action. To print the stickers, go to a sticker printing website and upload the I AM HUMAN sticker image. In the future, we hope to send out stickers from this website.

Step 4: Present your idea to school administration. Make this an opportunity to educate faculty about transgender student rights and accommodations.

Step 5: Host your Day of Action. Days of Action can include: Passing out stickers, pamphlets, and sharing information about the I AM HUMAN Project. Encourage students and staff to take part and post pictures of the event on Facebook.

To have your pictures added to our gallery, email them to The I AM HUMAN Project via the contact tab
